Founders
The founders Sri A. Kanaka Raju and his wife Smt.A.S.Indira , after their retirement from the Education Department, started the SES School to help the students from economically backward section of the society to build up their career. They used to operate SES out of the savings from their personal income, aiming mainly to run the school on secular lines and imparting secular and moral values to the students. Since its inception in the year 1993, they have been able to maintain communal harmony and teach kids at a very young age about need for patience and tolerance. At the age of 88 years, even today, Sri Kanaka Raju is taking active participation in managing the SES School.
Overview
SES-School is a formal school being run for the slum children in and around Adikmet (bordering the walls of Osmania University) area of Hyderabad. The project aims at giving formal education to these kids and has been running for the last twenty-eight years using funds from family & friends and Asha Silicon Valley chapter.
Mission
The mission of the school is to make deep inroads into every ignored and neglected area in and around Osmania University, Hyderabad to locate children and bring them into a learning setting so that they can be children.
The SES team works closely with the local community, accessing local resources, and constantly reviewing their work with feedback from children, parents and our teachers.
Since the start of its operations in the slums of Hyderabad in 1994, SES is focused on providing the best possible education to the underprivileged slum children.
Goal
Our goal is to continue providing high quality education to the under privileged children with a focus on attendance, learning in school and good results in the state-wide tests.

Dedicated Staff Members
We at SES have been fortunate to have dedicated staff who are driven by the same goals rather than financial benefits. We were able to recruit qualified teachers who accepted to work on a low salary but maintained high standards of education. For Example, Mr. B. Venkatesam who worked with SES on a meagre salary went on to qualify for ISAS cadre in 1995 and has most recently held the postings of Collector and MD of APTDC. Even to this date, in various interviews he speaks very highly of his experience with SES.
